Question:

Spotting...should I be worried?

So, I posted a question the other day because I was having some symptoms that I wasn't sure I should be worried about or not (an increase in vaginal discharge, mild cramping in my lower abdomen, nausea and aversion to certain foods).

Well, I am on the pill and I shouldn't start my period until this coming Monday. Yesterday I started having some light spotting and the cramps got a little worse. I didn't miss a pill and I wasn't late (which I know can cause spotting). I have had s*x, but I've been really good about my pills this month, so I wasn't too concerned about pregnancy until I started spotting.

I know I'm probably worrying for nothing, but when my period is off it just worries me. Should I be concerned about the spotting? Should I be worried about pregnancy? Or should I just wait and see what happens Monday before I worry?

  1. Well, if you don't want to wait till Monday you can take an early response HPT...if it is negative you should wait till your period is late before taking another one. Good luck, not sure what results you are hoping for but I hope you get what you wish for!

  2. see your doctor because if you are pregnant and still taking the pill, it could do damage.

  3. well i probably think you're pregnant and by you taking the pill that's probably the effects of that my advice go and take a pregnancy test to make sure if not and you're still bleeding then you should go to a gyno an get another type of pill
