Question:

Spraid raid outside for bugs...when can my pets safely go outdoors again?

my mother in law INSISTS on spraying raid outdoors for spiders and bugs. a bee was heading her way so she spraid it in the air and it fell on the grass and she continued to spray it til it died. i told her NOT to spray the grass or anything besides CORNERS of walls but she never listens to me! so when is it safe for my dogs to go outside and what if they eat that certain piece of grass that was sprayed or step on it...i know itll go away BUT i worry about my pets. can someone please explain and help me with this.....

No it is not safe to have pets around it for a while.  One of my dogs picked up a stick or something that had it on it from a few days before, and I had to take him to the vet.  She told me that it was a mild allergic reaction, and that I was really lucky it wasn't worse.  Make sure you don't spray everywhere, only on the sides of the house.  That stuff is lethal, so just watch the pets, and tell your mother in law that you can handle your own household!  

    I can't give you an exact timeline of when they can go out, but I would do it before bed, then by the time morning comes and the dogs go outside everything will have settled. But they still can't start l*****g the sides of the house or anything... be really careful with that stuff


  2. You could probably call the number on the package, I'm sure that's a question they get all the time, so they'd really know what they were talking about.
