Sprained abdomen, what type of specialist?

If you sprained your abdomen and needed to bypass your primary care physician what kind of doctor would you see who could suggest treatment?

Most specialists would require you to be referred by your primary care physician. I would try the hospital. Or you could try a Sports Medicine Doctor. They would probably be able to help you.

I pulled a muscle in my stomach, actually part of my bowel when I was sick and coughing violently. My PCP took care of it.
