Question:

Sprained ankle get worse?

soo im on an all star cheerleading team and for the past 2 weeks weve been practicing extra (5 hours everyday) with alot of running and conditioning.

well 2 days ago i sprained my ankle. well i dont know if i really sprained it but it hurts like the last time i did.

anyway, what would happen if i tried to suck up the pain for the next 3 days and just practiced in order to make the team?

would it turn into more than a sprain or what?

  1. It's all a matter of if you feel fine or not.  A while back I was at a metal show and I sprained my ankle.  About 7 days later I went to another show and tried to dance, ended up popping my ankle out of place and now I have even worse problems than when I started.  

    If you think the injury is mild and it won't kill you to do it, go for it.  if you have any indication of it getting worse or it hurting badly when you start doing cheerleading stuff, stop and sit.  It's not worth it.  Just take it slowly if you're willing to try.

    Also, a good idea; ask your coach.
