Question:

Spraining Wrist from Divot?

by  |  earlier

On those driving mats that is not divot friendly, the iron dug in and hurt my wrist.

Is there a way of turning my grip or flicking the wrist forwad to avoid all that pain?

(I have a very poor fairway habit of not getting under the ball because I don't want to sprain my wrist again)

  1. Perhaps you're taking too much divot.  No need to take a gouger.  Your swing mechanics may need to be worked on to improve your swing path, so that you can take a shallow divot.

Besides, the divot is created by the club and the speed that it's travelling at.  Not by your wrist.
