Question:

Spray head faucet pressure?

Our kitchen sink has a spray head faucet. When the set to "spray", the water comes shooting out, so no problem there. But when the spray setting is off, the water doesn't come out very fast all. It's not *too* low, it just doesn't seem to come out as fast as the spray setting does.

I've tried soaking the faucet head in CLR to clean the inside, as well as cleaning the aerator, but no luck.

What could be causing the water pressure during the "spray" setting to b fine, but low pressure when run like a normal tap? Especially since it's coming from the same faucet?

  1. On the end of the faucet there is an aerator, this screws off, there you will find debris, clean this and put it back on. Should clear this problem.

  2. if everthing is clean and only thing left is the size of your tubing going to the sprayer from water supply

  3. You have to take off the screen on the faucet head and clean it......Get a pair of pliers or adjustable wrench and unscrew the screen, clean and put back......That should do the trick.....

If that doesn't work then it's probably the faucet needs to be replaced.....At least from what you are describing......
