Spray paint and acrylics? ?

Question

Alright i'm thinking about spray painting an old hard suitcase one solid color--then painting a design with acrylic paint... now if i make a mistake with the acrylic could i possibly wipe it off, or will it ruin the spray paint? Or will i have to just spray paint over the acrylic?

if you clean the mistake right away you will have to spray over, but if you do it later that mistake will have this "bump"

Spray paints are often spirit based, so once dry won't be affected by the water based acrylic over the top - just use a damp cloth to remove the acrylic whilst it is still wet.

You might find the acrylic doesn't paint over the top of a spirit spray paint so easily, it may not adhere either whilst painting or may flake off afterwards. You could consider using stencils and the same kind of spray as the base colour to make your design.
