Cancun baby!  that's where i went, they have booze cruises, nice hotels, its only about 45 mins away from historical sites, and has great horseback riding etc.

Those are definetely the popular hot spots. I've been to Cancun and it was great. Heard of the other places and it is also very touristic.

I don't recommend much of Acapulco even though it is nice. I don't know, maybe it is just that I've seen it so much now.

All those have parties and the like.

Edit: oh right, Cancun does have archeological sites you could visit, I didn't think that would spark some interest for you given what you are looking for, but yeah, you can see pyramids of Tulum by the coast, it is no less than amazing, you should probably go see and learn something. I was thinking of purely party like entertainment and I forgot what I consider to be my interests haha.

If you become interested you can also go to Mexico City, lots of stuff to see there, endless, the whole city is history. You can see the Aztec pyramids, the archeological museum of anthropology, and the Zocalo plaza. Anyway, just a toss up.

I went Cancun Spring break in March 07, I can only comment on that.  I am going back in March 08.  Draw your own conclusion............Cancuuuuuuuun

Seriously the beaches and clubs are all you can ask for, if you go all inclusive in the hotel you can drink as much as you want.

Why don't you volunteer for Habitat for Humanity or work in a soup kitchen or something.
