Spring Break Trip?

I just watched the movie the real cancun, and mexico looked really sweet,BUT ive done a lot of research and everybody is telling me that Mexico is all currupted, and its very dangerous and the ppl there are really poor so they steal from tourists.

I was wondering if Cancun is the place to be for spring break? what areas are dangerous and whens the best time to go? also what was your experience with vacationing in Mexico? i heard a story on the news that guys there shoved needles into girls in the clubs/bars and were raped and all this horrible stuff. So could someone please tell me what they know about cancun/mexico and your experiences. thanks so much

Mexico is awesome. I am not a fan of Cancun because I like quiet places when I vacation, but for Spring Break you would probably like it. As for corruption- the government and police do have a reputation, but you're not going to have any run-ins with the police, now are you? Just be smart- don't leave your wallet laying on your beach towel, and have a good time.
