My friend & I are 17, and want to go to London next year from April 11th to the 18th

We were wondering what the best way to get around would be.

For example a bus pass that allows you to use all public transit

And what the cost would be?

links would be helpful.

  1. Most of yon_will's advice is ok, especially visiting the TfL website. I would recommend getting an Oystercard. The bit of her answer you should ignore however is the part where she tells you that £6 = $3. Disastrously wrong. £6 = $12 at the moment, at tourist rates of exchange.

  2. The fastest way to get around London is by far the Underground (Subway). You can buy at any underground station, an all-day travel card for all six travel zones (or however many suits you) for just over £6 ($3) (Last time I checked), which will give you all unlimited, inclusive travel on the underground, buses, Docklands Light Railway, and local trains all over your selected zones within London, for a certain period of time (usually a day). Beware of any rules or restrictions.

Visit the Transport for London website. They can give you all sorts of information on the various forms of transport within London, and also information on ticket types and fares etc.
