Springfield XD's Rusting?

What's all this I'm hearing about the Springfield XD line of pistols rusting internally? I was thinking about getting one but if that's the case I'll pass. It amazes me they dont use stainless or treated parts.

I carry the XD and have had no problems I even dropped mine in a mud hole and gummed the whole thing up.  I took the whole thing apart and cleaned it and don't have a spot of rust on mine;  keep your guns clean and oiled and they will not rust

keep it oiled and it wont rust.

any pistol will rust internally if it's not cleaned and oiled properly.

Even stanless steel will corrode in harsh conditions.

My son carries an XD I bought for him as a duty pistol...I would not hesitate to put my life on the line with one either.
