Is there a cut-off valve that will stop water flow if a sprinkler system breaks on the supply side allowing supply water to run unrestricted?

  1. i think what you are asking is ,how can i stop a main line leak in my sprinkler system from leaking non stop without shutting the main water off??  to do this you will have to buy a regular electric control valve ,like you have for your sprinkler system ,tie it in to the main before the rest of your valves ,and wire it to the M.V connections of your timer. then your system will only leak when the timer is running a zone ,thus giving you time to fix the leak at your convince.

  2. if you're talking about something that will detect a constant flow of water? not that I know of. never heard of anything like that.
