Sprinkler system question?

My sprinkler pops up out of the ground about 4 inches but some of them won't pop up. Is there something I can do or buy to make them pop up? I tried Pam the nonsticking spray but it made my yard a funny color around the sprinkler heads. Any ideas?

The first question I would have is:

\Has the pressure in the system changed?

If there is not enought water pressure, the heads won't pop up completely.

If you beleive it is the heads, you can generally unscrew the assembly from the top. Wash the internals, and check for debris in the screens at the bottom. Once cleaned up, put just a little vasiline arond the wiper seal and replace.

So it might be debris in the heads, or a loss of system pressure.
