Question:

Sprinkling system valve box question!?

I was at Lowes today looking at valve boxes. It looks like there's only two holes - one on each side of the valve box. For a 3-valve manifold, wouldn't you need three other holes for the lines to exit the box? How is this done? Do you drill it?

  1. You know, there is all kinds of valve boxes.

But at times you do need to saw or drill more to fit you particular needs.

I use a reciprocating saw to modify mine when needed

  2. Usually valve boxes are for buliding water services so one in one out. Go ahead and cut slots from the bottom to fit over the pipes. then if you have to take the box out, for repairs, it wont be a problem.
