  1. Interval workouts are more than just the distance and the number of repeats.

    You also factor in the speed and rest periods.

    Your program does not allow for easy or recovery days.

    You should not do hard days without recovery or easy days.

    If one of your race distances is 400 only doing 400 repeats is not a good idea.

    If you run the 100  you are not doing enough speed work and you do not say if you are doing any block work.

    There are lots of different workouts  you could be doing to improve.


  2. Yes! This is a very good workout. This is almost exactly what we did on our track team for us sprinters. Very effective!

  3. lestermo offers very good advice, you need to be more specific. A coach or a book which covers your event will be more specific to your event. There are things like periodization which you can find out about and the bodies energy systems where you train each specific energy system with different types of training.
