Sprinter workout?

I really want to improve my times for track. I enjoyed track so much and I want to help the team out more. Can someone help me and tell me what to do over the summer to workout. I did 100/300 hurdles, 200, 100, and I know I can do well in the 400 with better conditionioning so I wanna try that to.

Should I jog a few miles on Mon, Wed, Fri, and do hill sprints on Tue/Thurs.? I might be able to get to a gym on Sat. Would it help alot if I took kickboxing classes?

Would the summer and fall workout be the same?

  1. During the summer off season you should run easy 3 to 5 miles 3 days each week.

One day do a tempo run, and one day do either timed intervals or get to a track and do repeats.

You should also do weights and core muscle work to get stronger, along with plyometrics.

Summer and fall may be the same if  you are not doing cross country or indoor.

It is still off/early pre season.

6 weeks before season you can start your pre season work.
