Sprinting: The powerful, most purest exercise  

Running is the simplest form of sports. It is something that every athlete has practiced once or more during his training. The only requirements for running are a pair of good shoes and a running track or a route. Running being the most simplest and basic sport, has vast and diverse benefits. It can be done for excellent impact on fitness as well as to achieve psychic joy. On the basis of fitness, competition and fun, running can be divided in to different types.

Some of the main types are as follows:

Sprinting:

Sprinting is defined as moving rapidly at top speed for a brief period Sprinting is a short running race in a track or a running field. In sprinting, the runners have to run really fast over a very short distance. These races last merely for seconds. The racers in sprinting are trained to run really quick and fast. Most runners in sprinting finish their race within few seconds. Athletes that are taking part in different sports, also sprint as it increases their speed and endurance. For all the sprints, runner must remain in their starting lane for the   duration of the race. At the start of the events that involve rounding one or more bends(200m and 400 m,) the competitors are “staggered “to ensure that each runner travel exactly the same distance.

All human beings have ability to sprint for nearly 300 meters before oxygen shortage slows them. Even children love sprinting and they do it in their games.

Middle distance races:

Middle distance races, as the name suggests are longer than sprints. The most commonly used tracks for middle distance racing are 800m, 1500m or 3000m. These races stay longer than sprinting and athletes in these races may take few minutes to finish them.

Long distance racing:

Long distance races are much longer than middle distance and sprinting. They require large amount of endurance. The running tracks for these races are between 5,000m and 10,000m and it takes nearly 45 to 50 minutes for runners to finish long distance racing.

Marathon running:

Marathon running is a specifically long-distance running event of over 42km. The marathon race continues for hours. It requires excessive endurance techniques. It also requires sprinting techniques, which can be utilized by the athletes to be used as an attempt to win the race.

Ultra running :

Ultra running is the next level of marathon running, in which athletes run over a distance of 50 or 100 miles. For such races, the athletes need to be seasoned and it is not for weak and fain hearted people.

Multiday races:

Multiday races are included in the ultra marathon running events, which are often segmented into daily events of a specified distance and time or sometimes staged so that runners can run as far as they want and at their own discretion, over a set route and over a set of days. Multiday races can range from continuous 48 hour.

Benefits:

There are many benefits of running. It is taken as a sport as well as an exercise

Running helps in making heart strong by increasing the circulation of blood. Running also strengthens the immune system and improves lung capacity to a large extent. Running is a source for obtaining maximum fitness. Although, initially it takes runners some time to build up fitness to maintain this schedule.

It is important to wear comfortable running shoes to avoid injury. Running is an energetic as well as a fun sport.

Running is the best activity a human being can do in this life. It is the natural exercise of the body and it has numerous vital impacts on body, soul and mind.
