Sprinting help.?

ok so i have a track meet tomorrow. im doing the 100m and the 200m sprints. i really want to win and i really DONT want to get a cramp in the middle of it. so what foods should i eat and drinks the day of the race? also its before lunch so i cant have lunch before. how long before the races should i eat at? please help.

  1. u should have some light foods, like for breakfast, a special k bar, milk,orange juice,water(w/e u like), and some toast. or some yogurt and a banana and something to drink.it depends on u. if u can run and not puke, i would say, eat about 30 minutes before u run. or, if when u run u feel like you're going to puke, u should probably eat about 1-2 hours before. it justs depends on you. i run track too, and i could eat 10 minutes before i run and still be okay, so it depends on the person


  2. Yes, eat light, and really get those veggies in. I would suggest not eating half an hour before. thats usually the best. But make sure youve got your energy for that extra boost at the finish. Im in track too and my coach stresses on the finish, haha. But make sure to stretch realllyyy good. i cant stress that enough. You wanna be like rubber. :D Good luck.
