  1. midgets-smaller chassis and smaller engine.........sprints-bigger chassis and bigger engine............i prefer sprint cars

  2. There's not as much difference as you might think. Bob East makes most of the pavement cars for both. The midgets ar a little faster on the shorter tracks and the sprinters are more dangerous. Both are fantastic race cars, and will put on the absolute best racing possible anywhere. I guess the difference is a few inches in wheel base, and the CID of engines.

  3. Some midgets are really just expensive go-karts, lawn mower engine and everything.

I saw one once, and the dude flipped out when I called it a go-kart. Whatever, if it says friggn Briggs and Stratton on it, you are lucky I'm not calling it a lawnmower.

Besides, what's wrong with go-karts, other than they are 1/10 the price of a "midget", and you can buy them at any garden supply store?

  4. Basically what Marc B said. There is about 10 inches differant in wheelbase. The midgets are shorter. Go to www.usacracing.com and you can look at the specs for both, and the Silver Crown cars as well. The Silver Crown cars are about 10 inches longer than a sprint car. Of the 3 I like the sprint cars the best, maybe because I used to own one back in the 70's. They are a "E" ticket ride.
