My thoughts crashing onto the page,

Like a car crashing into the watery grave.

My mind is racing from one thing to another,

Reality collapsing beneath me.

Wind gusts around me,

Thoughts swirling through the air with a disturbing inertia.

The momentum builds and I'm off the ground.

The air around me gets hot,

An inferno builds around me.

My past demons haunt my every move now,

Demons taunt me with evil laughs and stares that burn holes into my soul.

I completely shut down,

The world goes dark.

I stare into the vast nothingness that is my future,

Not even a light at the end of the tunnel.

I start to walk in the nothingness to try to find something,

Instead i find nothing.

I start to run frantically in regret of my past.

I now come to a meaningless crossroads.

I decide to go your way,

Things start to get brighter,

Brighter,

Brighter.

Until I'm in new places,

With new faces.

I'm one the case,

To find your face in this new place.

It's like searching the ocean for the right catch,

I hope I catch you.

BTW: Advice is greatly appreciated I'm only 13.

Please and thank you.

  1. For a 13 year old this is a great poem. Lot's of similes and metaphors gave shape to the true meaning behind your words. I've been down some of those same roads, but not when I was 13!!
