Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has revealed he expects http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Dawson-c25288 and Aaron Lennon to return for the FA Cup clash against Cheltenham on Saturday.
While Dawson, the 28-year-old central defender, was on the bench against Swansea City after returning from a long term Achilles injury he could start in the third round of the FA Cup. Redknapp was confident Dawson had returned to full fitness and could go on to make an appearance for the team.
Redknapp said while speaking to reporters:

We were struggling for cover at Swansea. He'd only trained once but he put himself up for the bench, that's typical of him. He's a fantastic lad.”
The English manager admitted his side had not been the best against Swansea City in the English Premier League where they came away with a 1-1 draw. However, he was proud of the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international who made himself available after just a day of training.
Dawson signed for Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2005 for an undisclosed fee from Nottingham Forest and after just a year was given a contract extension until 2011. It was after his terrific performance after the 2008-2009 season that Dawson was awarded the captaincy, since there was a vacancy after the departure of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robbie-Keane-c31215. In 2010, it was revealed that Dawson would remain with the Spurs until 2015.
He is considered one of the best defenders in the English Premier League, having won the Tottenham Hotspur Player of the Year award in 2010 and being called “the best English defender I have played against” by Manchester City striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Tevez.
There is no doubt that his return will be a huge boost for the Spurs as they look to return to winning ways. Along with Dawson, Redknapp revealed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aaron-Lennon-c3062 could also be making a surprise return for the London side, having been out with a hamstring injury since last month.
He revealed:
“Aaron could be fit. He's training and we'd like to get a game into him if we can.”
