Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly stepped up their pursuit of Roma’s out of favour striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Borriello-c23672, and will face competition from the likes of Juventus, Galatasaray and Werder Bremen for the 30-year old’s signatures.
The North London club are interested in landing the Italian forward on a season-long loan spell and will face competition from Juventus, Genoa, Galatasaray and Werder Bremen in signing the player.
H owever the deal is complicated due to Roma’s interest in Genoa’s Mattia Destro, who is understood to be the subject of a potential part-exchange deal being considered by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 which will see Borriello go the other way.

Borriello has played in over 9 Serie A clubs, with Juventus and AC Milan among the more prominent sides he has been a part of. The 30-year old striker is highly regarded by Villas-Boas for his physical presence and ability to operate as a genuine centre-forward.
With only a month to go till the transfer window closes, Tottenham will be keen on signing a striker (or two) as soon as possible.
