The latest player to be linked with Tottenham Hotspur is Borussia Dortmund’s Polish striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robert-Lewandowski-c31255. Tottenham are expected to go head-to-head with Chelsea in a battle to see who lands the striker’s signatures first.
Lewandowski currently plays for German champions Borussia Dortmund, having previously played for Legia Warsaw and other Polish clubs. He is also a Polish international and put up a decent performance for his country in the Euro 2012 Championship, despite
their early exit.
The forward signed for Dortmund in 2010 on a four-year deal for a fee that is rumoured to be worth around €4.5 million. The Polish forward has 67 appearances for Dortmund under his belt and has scored 30 goals for them in all appearances.
He was the Bundesliga’s top scorer last season and won the German title and the league cup with the team.
It looks like Andre Villas-Boas will go head-to-head with his former club http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Oscar-c28720,
but reports claim that Tottenham have cooled their interest and started focusing on Portuguese midfielder Joao Moutinho.
The Polish striker is valued at £20 million by Dortmund, who will not accept an amount lower than this figure.
It is understood that Spurs have made an official bid for the forward, but are said to face intense competition from Chelsea and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380, and have identified Lewandowski as
a prime candidate.
Manchester United are also reported to be keen on the Pole and have inquired about his availability. Other reports however state that United’s main priority for next season is to enhance their midfield.  The club is not worried about strikers since it has
adequate firepower in that department with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Danny-Welbeck-c10233 and Javier Hernandez amongst their ranks.
Tottenham have been unusually active this summer, and have already acquired two signings so far. The club is currently in talks with Lyon’s goalkeeper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hugo-Lloris-c16408 and in the process of permanently securing Emmanuel Adebayor’s striking services. They are
also linked with Joao Moutinho, who is expected to fly into London this week.
