Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a move for Malaga’s Jose Salomon Rondon, according to various sources in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011. The Spanish club is on the brink of a financial crisis, and are looking to offload their big players.
The 22-year old Venezuelan striker has attracted the interest of many European clubs, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 among the most prominent names.
Malaga owner Sheikh  Abdullah Al Thani is accused of owing several players their wages and has refused to pay previous club debts. The Spanish tax office is in the middle of investigating all payments and transfer dealings of the Spanish club.
Reports in Spain suggest that Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas has identified Rondon as a possible transfer target since Spurs are short-staffed in the strikers department. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Emmanuel-Adebayor-c12526 is apparently on his way to White Hart Lane this month, and will be
the only central striker on their roster, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jermain-Defoe-c18359 linked with a move away from club.

Spanish media believe that Rondon has been targeted by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Giovani-dos-Santos-c14983 go the other way.
Rondon has two years left on his contract with Malaga and his contract includes a €20 million buy-out clause. This hefty fee may put off a lot of clubs, but Tottenham, with a reported £70 million transfer war-chest, won’t see this as a problem.
Rondon joined Malaga in 2010 and has managed 67 appearances for the Spanish club, scoring 25 goals along the way. The striker is known for his directness, physical presence and an eye for goal.
Spurs will be keen on signing him considering their striking situation. The club has signed midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson from German club Hoffenheim and Belgian centre-half http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jan-Vertonghen-c17814 from Dutch champions Ajax.
Tottenham are set for a ‘revolution’ as Villas-Boas takes control of things at White Hart Lane. The Portuguese manager is confident in his project and believes that he will be able to take Tottenham to new heights in the coming seasons. Rondon will be an
excellent addition to the squad if the proposed transfer goes ahead as planned.
