Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has hailed Brazilian midfielder Sandro and has credited the player’s performance for the team’s 0-3 victory over Fulham last week.
Spurs cruised to a comfortable victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage on the weekend, scoring three goals in the process.
The first half had ended in a stalemate, but a speculative long range effort by Sandro saw Spurs take a well-deserved lead.
The visitors had been in control of the game and were the better side throughout the 90 minutes. Jermain Defoe then added two goals after Sandro’s strike, taking his tally to 9 Premier League goals.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Villas-Boas expressed his delight with Sandro and paid tribute to his efforts and ability. He said:
“He’s such a good player and it’s difficult to single out individuals, but Sandro has been amazing for us.”

“Sandro had the confidence to take the shot, credit to him. That jump-started things, it opened the game up. Fulham had to push more men forward and we were able to find the gaps behind their midfield to release Jermain. It worked well for us.”
