simple, we buy players that integrate with the teams style of play, whereas spurs simply buy any name available in the market. BENT for example - Gomez - Dos santos (unproven)

They did get close to CL up to last game of the season two years ago didnt they?

Their newly-brought players need some time to adapt in EPL. However thinking about a place in CL, I dont think they will achieve it. BTW they need to be on aware cuz they are facing Chelsea at the Bridge in the weekend.

The balance to the Spurs side is awful. Two defensive mid's.. Huddlestone can't run, Zokora can't pass. That's a problem position. Spurs lose all of Modric's potential when holding him back. Ramos should of signed someone who can actually play on the left wing comfortably, I'd rather have Bale at left back. Also what use is a captain if he is never fit, don't get me wrong I think King is awesome, but can't stay fit at all.

Because spurs didn't bring in quality players like Arsenal did, also the team is not as good as Arsenal in the style of attacking football, Spurs didn't have players like Walcott, Adebayor, Nasri and Fabregas, and now Ramos is not a good coach like Wenger. They are struggling right now too.

wats the point of spending soo much when ur players cant adapt to the style or pace of the BPL. Spurs also doesnt have the history of the club to back them either. meaning if the manager gets a uefa spot, he says its a great achievement and stops there. of coz its gd but the players are fixed to the mindset of getting this spot rather than challenge for the CL as they themselves deem it as outside chance with the likes of MANU, CHELSEA, ARSENAL N LIVERPOOL..

Because they hype themselves up, lose the first two games of the season and become do demoralized that they finish up in the bottom half. It's funny to watch though! :D

Because Tottenham spent them blind folded while Arsene Wenger always buy the right players and thats why Tottenahm aren't closing on Arsenal.
