Sputnik Sweetheart likely to shine in Anna Busbridge´s Memorial Handicap
Sputnik Sweetheart will be eying a positive run in order to claim the Anna Busbridge´s Memorial Handicap at Folkestone in England on Thursday, August 23, 2012. She will have to be at her absolute best though, as there are some extremely good runners up against her today.
The bookies believe the Baheeja has got the best chance of winning the class-4 event, thus they have given her the best odds for victory. She has won her previous two races and will be chasing a hat-trick today.
On the other hand, Uprise will also be in contention for a victory, as he will like the good to firm conditions at Folkestone. He will enter the race with a starting price of 9 to 2 and the punters will definitely consider him, as one of the favourites.
However, Sputnik Sweetheart has got the ability to outshine her opponents in order to win the cash prize of £4,852 from the 7 furlong event. She has got very good speed, thus the bookies have priced her 7 to 2.
The three-year-old filly first appeared onto the scene in 2012, which means that she does not have a lot of experience. Despite that, she has enjoyed a very good season and her performances have impressed one and all.
The Richard Hannon’s trainee was unable to catch the attention of anyone in her first ever race, as she finished in a disappointing eight place overall. The event was affected by rain and she did not like the conditions at all.
However, things got better for the young filly with the passage of time. She took part in a couple of back-to-back races at Lingfield and displayed express speed in them. Although, she failed to win any of those events, her performance was good enough to earn her the runner up place on both occasions.
Oasis Dream’s daughter broke the shackles in her fourth race, finishing first in it. She was not rated as the favourite to win that time around, but surprised one and all in the end, winning by a couple of lengths.
Sputnik Sweetheart disappointed her team in her previous race, as she finished seventh overall. Despite that, she will be strong today, as her confidence level is high. Pat Dobbs will be the one partnering her at Folkestone.
