I clear all cookies with my spy sweeper and click on at&t- yahoo internet explorer and click right off and I get 2 spy cookies - yield manager & ad revolver. I clear with spy sweeper again & w/out getting out of internet explorer - I log on to answers & click right off & get 5 spy cookers - yield manager, atlas, GS. Serving - sys, Serving - sys, doubleclick.

Also, if I log on & off of map quest I get yield manager, advertising, tacoda, atlas dmt, doubleclick & 207.net cookie. Do I have to run my spy sweeper every time I go somewhere ??

  1. You have some form of MalWare that is installing things as you click on sites.

Your best start is to read to this forum -

Which will walk you thru the tools listed -

One important thing is the fact that you should completely update the Operating System and ALL of the patches.  If your machine is patched for the vulnerability on the HD, then YOU cannot get infected.  It is the more proactive approach (patching your machine, keeping your software updated, using the most current firmware and drivers).  AV is ALWAYS reactive!
