Spy-bot problem don't know what to do?

Question

when u scan with spy-bot does it scan ur whole comp or just the file that u are in? cuz i think i have a virus on my file should i try scanning my comp from my file or what?

It scans your whole computer by default, or whichever drives you choose if you don't want it to scan the whole.  But adware, spyware, and viruses are three different thinks.  Adware removal programs will pick up adware and spyware, and clean it, but they are not designed to eradicate viruses.  You need an anti-virus program for that like Norton's or McAffee's.

You can do a free scan of your computer on PCpitstop for viruses if you want to check it out, and they offer some free resources to clean it up.  But the most trusted one's cost money.

spy ware and a virus are two different things.a scan should scan your whole hard drive.

You need both anti-virus and anti-spy ware software to be safe.

VirusTotal.com will allow you to upload a file for a scan by as many as 30 anti-virus company's then go get a online scan at one of these TrendMicro.com...Symantec.com...Kaspersk... this is Microsoft online scanner they are all free then get some protection Comodo.com if offering a complete security suite free and yes they can be trusted if you prefer to assemble one yourself Avira.com backup-ed with Safer-networking.org(spybot search and destroy) or Lavasoft.com or Malwarebytes.com they all well known and used by millions...after preview i see that Yahoo.com still hasn't fixed their sites problem i hope you can under this
