I denied a change for Shockwave to update on start-up with my resident file....i went back and unclicked it but still cant finish the update..is Showckware a bad thing to update?and how do I undo that desicion to let Shockwave do its update?

No, shockwave is fine to update... I recommend turning off the "Tea Timer" on Spybot S&D.  I've seen too many systems hosed because someone clicked NO to allowing an update when they should have clicked YES...

Its ok to let Shockwave update, it will not harm your Windows.
