Spyro for playstation 2 - what is the best game?

we are looking to buy a playstation 2 game of spyro. we have a ps2 but the original playstation game (year of the dragon) so we can't save. but we really love it soo we want spyro for our ps2 so we can save our game and actually progress.

what is your favorite? we like some violence, but not overly much.

buy the older spyro games. i grew up on him. and buy a ps1 memory card. iv still got mine and iv got a ps3. all the new ones suck cuz the werent designed by insomniac cuz the started the ratchet franchise and then RFOM series also. btw, buy the ratchet and jak games. wont be dissapointed.
