Spyware Help?

Question

I have my friends computer. It's a Dell Inspiron 6400. She has spyware on it, and it isn't allowing me to run anything at all, not even a USB virus scan. The virus is called Worm.Win32.AutoRun.ejn.

Any help on how to get rid of it when no virus scan/spyware scan works? It also shuts down the computer the second I try and Search and manually delete it.

Have you try to scan the computer while in safe mode (just safe mode and no network)?

I had spyware that was doing the same thing the only thing that worked was restoring my computer to before the spyware appeared I have not had any problems since.  Hope that helps.

Try CTRL + Alt + Delete, Then run the security program. Also, what security program are you using?

In order to remove infection like that, it requires a manual scan of the computer with like HJT.  If that computer can at lest get on line then you can be helped.  If not then you may need to format it.
