Spyware on my computer?

ok so my mom has this spyware thing downloaded on my computer it comes off as a virus stopper thingy but when she was talking about how she can see everything i do on the computer she said something about spyware and its called that too on my computer does anyone know how to take that off because a little privacy would be nice

and

AVG 8.0 (Free edition) at: http://free.avg.com/ww.download?prd=afe
