  1. Just purchased a Sumo 5900 today after testing the past two weekends. Great driver! Feels very solid and the sound is now more of a normal 460 cc driver sound.

My driver is a 10.5 deg with reg flex stock shaft. I tried 10.5 and 11.5 deg in both regular and A flex. My swing speed is about 85 mph and I found the A flex to be too flexible for my swing (dispersion was not as good as with the regular flex). I tried two different 11.5 deg drivers and they didn't feel quite as solid as the 10.5. Don't know why, but I'm sure there is a feel difference. I hit both the 10.5 and 11.5 straight and carry distance was the same except that the 11.5 came in a a higher trajectory as expected.

Since I hit it straight, I purchased the 10.5 deg because I expect it to run a lot more than when it hits the ground than the 11.5.   Both drivers were at least 10 yards longer than my current King Cobra M Speed LD driver (10.5 deg, reg flex).

  2. I've hit the club. It's a much better sounding club than the previous years. It goes alright, but technology really has hit pretty much the max. My brother currently plays the square nike and when he tried this one he didn't see too much difference. I don't know. I've been playing a two year old cleveland driver and that thing goes just as good as any of the newer drivers.

  3. I've hit both on demos.  I took the original sumo square out to the course for a demo at your door weekend, and I hit the new one at a demo day at the local course.  The ONLY advantage that the new one gives over the original is that it sounds 100% better instead of giving you that "oh my gosh, I'm hitting drives with a toaster" sound.  Performance wise, they are about the same as far as distance and accuracy.  My advise would be to buy the old one.  You'll save a couple hundred bucks and get the same results.

  4. i hit this club & i have gained 15 more yds. off the tee go figure.real nice feel
