In a typical 10 man military squad with a Sergeant leader and 9 other soldiers:

What rank are the 9 other soldiers?

What responsibilities do the soliders have? Is there one grenadier, one medic, two snipers, etc. or does everyone just carry around an m16?

I need help understanding the breakdown of a typical army sqaud and the responsibility and job of the members

  1. It can vary. You would have a squad leader. at least one grenadier . a few Saw gunners. A few on m4's and m16's . It really varies. About ranks. The leader typically would be sergeant or staff sergeant. Then maybe one specialist a pfc cpl. like i said it varies. Therer responsibilities vary too. in combat a specialist would use what ever is specialty is. In the book i read House to House. the specialist was an rpg specialist. he manned the RPG they found and the at4's........

I recommend you read that book. "house to house" it is about one army infantry squad in fallujah

  2. That all depends on your MOS.

  3. It can vary. You would have a squad leader what is most of the time a sgt or ssgt.he has his squad normaly in teams (like 2nd platoon-3rd  squad-bravo team).a team is most of the time  3 to 4 soldiers.the team leader is normaly a specialist who is in charge of a of a privat or privat first class.what they do will vary (what ever there mos= job is)!like in a military police asv you will have the spc as team leader, the privat will be the gunner and the the pfc will be the driver!a military police officer in a combat zone will always have a 9 mm and a m4 or m16!the gunner has to his 9mm and m4 or m16 a saw also!hope i was able to help you a little bit
