Sql server 2000 remote installation?

Help me. When I am installing sql server in remot computer 1 problem is occuring. The problem is that ' An error has occured while attemting to validate the target installation UNC path. Verify you have entered a valid UNC path and the current logged on user has adminidstrator on the share'

Are you on MS windows Server 2000 or 2003.  If not ,sql 2000 wont work.

Make sure the UNc path is correct , UNC(universal naming convention) eg if your shared folder is in shared folder then use this

\\ComputerName\SharedFolder

try this and put it on your UNC path in the SYSTEM path

\%SYSTEMDRIVE%\Program Files\

Common Files\SYSTEM\ContentIndex

or just remap the drive and put that path

make sure you provide the correct path.
