Sqrt(x+3)+1/x-1? please help?

if anyone has the time to chat with me so that i can get some help please give me your yahoo screen name, and the steps with the answer to this question

sqrt(x+3)+1/x-1

I can interpret this several ways.

1) √(x+3) + (1/x) - 1

2) √(x+3) + 1/(x - 1)

But neither is solvable as there is no equation. They cannot be simplified.
