you know when stewie says-Oh squiggley line in my eye fluid,

I see you there,

lurking on the periphery of my vision.

But when i try to look at you,

You scurry away...

Are you shy squiggley line?

Why only when i ignore you,

do you return to the center of my eye?

Oh squiggley line,

It's alright.... You're forgiven

i have actually had that problem.

what is it?

my friend said it could be a worm.

  1. Haha, very clever.  You have a floater, no it's not a worm.  We have jelly inside our eye called vitreous, as we age the vitreous starts to break down and clump together.  Then when we move our eye the clumps float back and forth within the jelly.  Very common and mostly benign, I have many of them myself.  The only time I would worry is if you start seeing showers of these accompanied by flashes of light in your peripheral vision; this could be a sign of a tear or detatchment of the retina.  Otherwise, nothing to worry about, just there to entertain and serve as inspiration for prose on Yahoo answers.  Take care.

  2. It's floater. Some floaters are small dots some are lines. See your ophthalmologist about them.

  3. I's a floater. I think a floater is a tiny bit of the lining of the back of the eye, which is called the macula, that broke loose, or that shed and will be replaced.  If you get a big, big floater, see an eye doctor immediately.

  4. Yup, like everyone else said, it's an Eye Floater.  They're pieces of some of the matter on the inside of your eye that breaks off.  It's really annoying, but fortunately totally normal.  Sorry, but there's nothing you can do about it (don't worry though, it's not a worm.)

You don't even have to see an eye doctor, unless you suddenly start seeing a real increase in them - like large groups and lots all at once.  Then its a problem...unless that happens, no worries!
