Sreesanth is an excellent bowler: Krishnamachari Srikkanth consoles the World Cup cast-out

The former India captain said on Monday that the 27-year-old right-arm medium pacer from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kerala-c803 is a genuinely good out-swing bowler. He also told the media reporters that he has talked to the Kerala pace bowler,
advising him to stay calm over the selectors’ decision.
"I have told him (Sreesanth) to be calm and he will be a great bowler," said the BCCI chief selector. Srikkanth also termed the job of a national selector as a "thankless one".
Sreesanth failed to make the cut in the 15-man final World Cup squad of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 which was announced last Monday and had said at that time that he was left heartbroken.
"I am so heartbroken,” said the dejected pacer after the India squad was announced on 17 January 2011, “But it’s lack of faith that makes people afraid of meeting challenges, and I believed in myself.”
But some of the misery must have been brushed off after hearing from Srikkanth that he is a great bowler.
Srikkanth said that a player gains maturity in his game with the passage of time and the experience of playing international cricket helps the players a lot in this regard.
"Some people are playful. Maturity will come. Sreesanth is an excellent bowler and he has an excellent out-swing," he said.
On any regrets during his 11-year long international cricketing career, Srikkanth said that at times he feels he should have compiled more runs.

The right-hander debuted in the Test format of game in 1981 as well and made 43 Test appearances before bidding farewell to Test cricket in February 1992. In his 43 Test appearances, he logged 2062 runs at an average
of 29.88 including two centuries and 12 half-centuries.
The 51-year-old former India batsman said that he had always played cricket for the sake of enjoyment as he never wanted to be a professional cricketer. "My motto is do your best and leave the rest up to God."
