Prior to the series, the English side were apprehensive about the spin bowling they were bound to encounter in Sri Lanka, after struggling during their previous series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 in the UAE. However, the warm-up match indicates that the pitch seems
conducive for both spin and pace bowling.
The 3-day practice match will be followed by another warm-up bout, after which the English side will commence their 2-match Test series against the Sri Lankan national squad. The first match is scheduled for March 26 at the Galle International Stadium, while
the second game will take place in Colombo at the P Sara Oval on April 3.
