Nondescripts Cricket Club defeats Badureliya Sports Club by 127 runs
at the Nondescripts Cricket Club Ground, Colombo
A timely century from wicketkeeper batsman Niroshan Dickwella (105), coupled with half-tons from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Angelo-Kanishka-Perera-c44682 (61*), enabled the Nondescripts Cricket Club to post a massive total of 318, which the Badureliya Sports Club were eventually
unable to chase down successfully. Ruvinda Shamen (10-0-69-2), aided by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Panagamuwa-Lihiru-Sampath-Gamage-c80675 (9-0-63-1), attempted to keep the Nondescripts CC’s batsmen in check, but their efforts ultimately went in vain.
The Badureliya SC, never appeared to be in the game, and followed up their below-par bowling with a shoddy batting performance. Tharindu Kaushal (10-2-26-4) spearheaded the Nondescripts CC’s bowling attack, and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Paththini-Kuttige-Jude-Ruwantha-Nilushan-Nonis-c80818 (59) and Saliya Saman (42) were
the only two batsmen who managed a competitive performance. Pabasara Waduge (29), Sebastian Perera (27), and Ruvinda Shamen (15*) were the only other players who succeeded in moving beyond single-digit scores, but the Nondescripts CC kept a strict check, and
cut the Badureliya SC off at 191, securing a 127-run win.
Panadura Sports Club claims 8-wicket win over Colombo Cricket Club
at the P Sara Oval, Colombo
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Tuan-Mohamed-Ishan-Mutaliph-c94455 (71) chipped in with crucial half-tons to enable the Panadura Sports Club to comfortably complete the 159-run chase the Colombo Cricket Club had set them. Both batsmen were eventually dismissed, but by then the team
had already worked their way up to 139, and a few minor contributions from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Maddumage-Tharindu-Thushan-Fernando-c73686 (6*) and Malith Chathuranga (14*) got them easily over the line, with 8 wickets and 71 balls remaining.
Earlier, the Panadura SC bowlers, led by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rupasinghe-Jayawardene-Mudiyanselage-Gihan-Madushanka-Rupasinghe-c87122 (46) had been the top-scorer for the team, but his efforts
went unsupported by the remainder of the batting order, with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Dushan-Malith-Gunathilake-c54810 (22) being the only other players who succeeded in passing the 20-run mark. The rest failed to capitalise on their starts, and served as easy pickings
for the Panadura SC’s bowling attack.
