A superb bowling and fielding performance from Ekta Bisht in the ongoing ICC Women’s World Twenty20, saw the India Women claiming a comprehensive 9-wicket win over the Sri Lanka Women during their play-off for qualification in the 2014 World T20 (with both teams having failed to make it to the semis), at the Nondescripts Cricket Club Ground in Colombo today on October 3.
The Sri Lanka Women won the toss and elected to bat first. However, an intense bowling performance, coupled with agile fielding from Bisht (4-0-16-3), alongside a notable performance from Rasanara Parwin (4-0-23-2), ensured that the India Women kept their opponents to a low, manageable total of 100.
Opener Prasadani Weerakkody (6) was unable to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sanjeewani-Inoka-Galagedara-c88668 (15) proceeded to team up with Chamari Atapattu (who top-scored for her side with 28) for a 17-run partnership.
Galagedara was dislodged by Parwin in the 8th over, and Atapattu joined forces with skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sulakshana-Naik-c91743 off Parwin in the 15th over, and Siriwardene followed her to the pavilion one over later, falling prey to Anuja Patil.
The final over saw Bisht claiming a brilliant hat-trick which left the Sri Lanka Women reeling. Bisht began her assault with the second delivery of the final over, which saw wicketkeeper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Manodara-Acharige-Don-Dilani-Surangika-c74221 (10) sent back to the pavilion.  
Yasoda Mendis (10) was caught and bowled on the very next delivery, followed immediately after by the dismissal of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 Women restricted to 100 by the end of 20 overs.
In response, the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mithali-Raj-c76407 (28*), which got their team safely up to 102, with 9 wickets and 32 deliveries remaining.
