As news of match-fixing among umpires rocked the cricketing world on Monday, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 Cricket and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have begun an investigation into the matter.
SLC chief executive Ajith Jayasekara while talking to ESPNcricinfo said, “Initial investigations are being carried out by our anti-corruption unit.”
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the PCB stated, “We are in contact with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 and carrying out a detailed investigation into the matter. For us it is just a TV report. We have sought the details involved in the matter and it is too early to say anything. The PCB maintains that we have a zero-tolerance policy towards any kind of corruption in cricket at any level."

The exposé revealed that most of the umpires were willing to give such decisions. According to the channel, the sting operation was carried out via Skype, where undercover reporters introduced themselves as representative of a sports management company.

The umpires accused by India TV did not officiate in the recently concluded ICC World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka.
