Sri Lanka unwilling to tour Pakistan for Cricket Series
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nishantha-Ranatunga-c79713, secretary of Sri Lanka Cricket Interim Committee has asked Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to brief them regarding security measures for the scheduled series.
“There has not been any official invitation from PCB recently as these media reports indicate. About three or four months ago, PCB told us that they would like to host our team as scheduled in the FTP (Future Tours Programme). We told them our stance that
we need security clearance first before sending a team there again. Our stance has not changed, and there has been no new invitation though their media have suddenly got excited about It”, he said.
Ranatunga has clarified that there is no further development going on to finalise the tour, as they have given their response to the PCB invitation plainly.
On 21 May, PCB has requested Sri Lankan Cricket Team to visit Pakistan to play a 3-match Test series, 5-match One Day Internationals (ODI) series and a Twenty20 fixture in October-November.
The PCB spokesman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nadeem-Sarwar-c78422 has stated that they are waiting for Sri Lanka’s response and they have given them assurances of comprehensive security.

The Chairman of Sri Lanka Cricket Interim Committee has offered PCB to host a series in Sri Lanka, if Pakistan accepts the proposal they are ready to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Chris-Duval-c1242 total hosting expenses.
He has also suggested that Sri Lanka can play with Pakistan at neutral venue, Dubai and Abu Dhabi are two suitable options.
Meanwhile, De Silva is agreed with the fact that Pakistan cricket is having tough time and they want to help their best friends but they want to make sure safety of Lankan players as well.
The secretary of Sri Lanka Cricket Interim Committee is also raising the same point which Chairman of the Committee has highlighted.
“First we have to get the security clearance. Then only we need to discuss it with cricketers. You have to remember that most of them were victims of the previous attack”, Ranatunga added.
