On Wednesday, July 04, the second Test between Pakistan and Sri Lanka ended in a draw as Sri Lanka ended their second innings with 86 runs on the board for the loss of two wickets, at Sinhalese Sports Club Ground, Colombo.
Having stalled Sri Lanka on 278 runs for five, Pakistan needed to bowl-out the hosts twice on the final day to win the match, after they had amassed an amazing tally of 551 runs, in their first innings.
However, with Sangakkara still in the middle, Sri Lanka had a mighty chance of saving the match, as the batsman looked phenomenal on the fourth day, and a repeat of the same performance would have taken the Lankans in the safe zone.
Sangakkara with an overnight tally of 144, was joined by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/AD-Mathews-c913 and the two exhibited impressive performance against their opponents, taking the total to 370 runs, after which left-arm pacer Junaid Khan struck to nab the wicket of Mathews, who faltered after scoring a knock of 47 runs.

Pakistan then did not take much time in wrapping up the Sri Lankan innings, as the hosts crumbled on a tally of 391 runs.
