Sri Lankan bowling coach hopeful of a good performance in England
Sri Lanka’s bowling coach, Champaka Ramanayake,is backing his inexperienced bowling attack and said that they have the fire-power to compete with a strong English team.
The Islanders are currently visiting England for a series of three Tests, five One Day Internationals and a T20.
The Test series is scheduled to start from May 26, at Cardiff, and it is going to be a huge challenge for the Sri Lankan team to beat England considering their lack of experience in English conditions.

Ramanayake admitted that his bowling attack is very inexperienced and they have not played much cricket in England.
Apart from Dilhara Fernando, all the Sri Lankan fast bowlers are inexperienced and they will be up against a strong English batting line-up which is full of confidence after a memorable victory in the 2010-11 Ashes.
He said, "Yes, we have one of the most inexperienced fast bowling line ups taken to England. Except for Dilhara Fernando the others haven't played much Test cricket at all.”
Sri Lanka’s bowling coach is taking things positively however, and feels that it is a great chance for the Sri Lankan fast bowlers to prove their worth at the international stage.
Ramanayake said that inexperience is surely a disadvantage for the Islanders but on the other side of the coin, it is a huge positive that that the English batsmen have not seen much of the new Sri Lankan fast bowlers and Ramanayake feels that this is a
chance for the young fast bowlers to shine.
“It's an opportunity for the youngsters to take over and continue. We have the disadvantage of inexperience but looking at it the other way none of the English players have played against our fast bowlers before. I think with that we can unsettle them,"
Ramanayake added.
