Sri Lankan team is hard to beat says Cameron White – Cricket News Update
Australia’s Twenty20 skipper, Cameron White, while talking at the official tour launch on Tuesday, in Colombo, said that the Sri Lankan team is very hard to beat, so his side needs to play well in the upcoming series.
White, who was assigned the Twenty20 captaincy from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MJ-Clarke-c1978 in January, while expressing his views about the upcoming two-match Twenty20 series  to be played on Saturday, said that the way the World Cup finalists played  against England in the short format of the game reveals that they are in good form.
"A big mix of youth and experience and I think their key players are obviously probably the more senior guys,” said White.
The two-match Twenty20 series to be played on Pallekele Stadium, from August 6, 2011, will be White’s first assignment as a skipper.
White revealed that they have spent a good couple of days while preparing hard for the series. He was hopeful that his side’s preparations would come up with some fine results. 
The Australia team will set off for Kandy from Colombo on Wednesday, to make the final preparations for their first game.
White will only accompany team Australia in two-match series, as he is not part of the five-match One-Day international series and three-match Test squad against Sri Lanka.
It has been six years since White has been the Aussie Twenty20 skipper, but in this duration the veteran has led his side on the field only twice, in a two-match series in January against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013.
"So far I'm enjoying it but as you did say (it's only been two matches)," White said.
White, while talking about future plans, said that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757, so he was excited to take up the challenges.
"(But) it's not only the two games we've played, but the time to be involved with the team, preparation, and just to have a bit more to be involved in I guess," he revealed.
The right-handed batsman has played in 24 Twenty20 innings and has scored 519 runs at an average of 35.12, including two centuries and 11 fifties.
