Sri Lanka’s spinner Rangana Herath has said that beating South Africa on their home turf was only possible because of a combined effort from the team. The left-arm bowler earned the man of the match award for his nine wickets in the Durban Test.
The tourists lost the first Test of the three match series by a huge margin of an innings and 81 runs and the critics predicted a whitewash for them.

The wily spinner stated, “It was a whole team effort, that's why we won. We're very happy because we bowled them out for less than 170 and we played our brand of cricket. We didn't do anything different, sticking to the basics.”
Sri Lanka’s skipper Dilshan was also delighted after winning the match and said, “It's one of the greatest days for my career to beat http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 in South Africa. It showed that if we can play our brand of cricket, we can beat one of the best teams.”
This was Dilshan’s first Test victory as captain and he will be hoping for many more to come in the future.
