Just a short intro, I'm 16 and my bf is 18.
I met my current bf through a gf and we've been datin' my boyfriend for now more than a month now. And we love each other a lot already. Even though we live apart, we see each other every friday (it's only two short bus rides on the TTC). Everyday he would call me (today he called me at 8:30 am to wake me up cuz I sleep in a lot in summer)and we would talk on the phone throughout the day without runnin' out of topics. And he always says that he loves me. But then later on today...
He called me in the afternoon and hinted (lamely) that we should take a break (he hinted by askin’ me what is the meanin’ of the term “break†for me since he said his best friend asked him that). He said that it prevents couples from breakin’ up harsher cuz of the old stress they had, such as jealousy. He also said that it will make the couple chiller when they back together.
The thing is that I seen this happen, especially with my best friends, Travis and Rezo (who is my gf who hooked me and my bf up). Travis did that to Rezo and told her that he "couldn't decide what he wanted". But since I was his friend, he told me how he really felt about it – he wanted a break up, a real one (and I dun blame him, she's an annoyin' messed up nutjob!). I mean, why are guys to scared to finish the term break UP. Like, sheesh. Either way, its the end of the relationship.
Another reason why my bf wants a “break†is cuz he said I never had much experience with guys (he's had 3 gfs throughout his teen years and I had 2 bfs in this same summer, includin' him).
A few hours ago he called me and told me these diary entries he wrote to me since we started datin', sayin’ how much he loves me, etc. And still he is said "ily" to me. when he said it, it took me a while to say it back cuz i was confused cuz he hinted he wanted a break and yet he's sayin' this lie to me. again when he called me hours later, he said and i just pretended i didn't hear. I’m so confused but here are my questions:
1) WHY? Why does he want a break (up) if he says he loves me?
2) I know I suck at the datin’ game since I started datin’ this summer, where a guy finally noticed me, but if another guy, out of nowhere miraculously asks me out, what am I supposed to do? I dun want to date anymore, too much drama like right now!
3) If my bf wants to get back together miraculously, even though I love him a lot, and he knows it, I would die to say yes, but I want to say no cuz I dun want a real break up to happen in the future. I know it will hurt him but it’s fault for wantin’ a break (up). I doubt you’ll get this question, but main point, I’M SO CONFUSED… and sad.
