St Gregory and St. Martin?

any parellels in these guy's lives???? [and this is not for a class, when I write, I don't trust anyones ideas but my own]....

  1. I went with the assumption that you meant St. Martin of Tours.  They were around the same time.  However, St. Martin appeared to do this by himself, versus St. Gregory had family to help, and influence him for much of his life.  St.  Gregory also had a great influence in Basil.
